The Babysitters Club reboot on Netflix. One of my elementary school class photos features me wearing a jean skirt and a BSC tshirt that I got because I was a member of the official fan club. This reboot is so well-done and such a far cry from the old, corny series in the 90s. The girls wear cool clothes, use modern technology, and Kristy’s mom is Alicia Silverstone! I’m two episodes in and I’m struck by the lessons that the show teaches as well- be accepting. Be honest. It’s cool to use your strengths.
There are gay and transgender characters, Stonybrook, Connecticut has more diversity than just Claudia Kishi, and they even paraphrase Michelle Obama in episode 3. If you or your kids need a new show, absolutely check out BSC.

Stasher bags. We ordered a bunch of these a few months ago when they were an Amazon deal of the day and I have used them relentlessly ever since. Allegedly you can microwave food in them, but I haven’t used them that way. The seal is tight, so you can even put liquid in them without being afraid that it will leak. These have seriously cut down on my use of single-use bags and they take up less space in the fridge than plastic containers. Highly, highly recommend. These have become something that I use almost every day.

Panera unlimited coffee. I’m a sucker, and I signed up for the membership. I can get a hot or iced coffee every two hours (lol at the time limit) until (I think) Labor Day, when it will be $8.99/month. Seeing as how I have gotten a coffee from Panera everyday since I signed up, I’m definitely getting my money’s worth. If you live close to a Panera and you love coffee, it’s worth checking out.

How Sweet Eats Baja Grain Bowls. I’m still trying to feed us more plant-based meals, and this was a huge winner this week. The chimichurri is the MVP of this meal and we used Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and pinto beans instead of black beans. Oh, and farro instead of rice and quinoa, and now I’m verging on becoming that annoying person who replaces every ingredient in a recipe and then wonders why their brownies are gloppy. To the contrary, this was a hit with the whole family and I’ll make it again and again.

Of course I understand the irony of following a meatless meal with a jerky recommendation, but this Lorissa’s Kitchen Original jerky is just so delicious. I’ve been buying big bags of it at Costco and snacking on it when I need some savory protein. It is low sugar, high protein, and freaking tasty.
