If you don’t want to leave the hustle and bustle of Front Street for lunch, head to Harvest. The menu is constantly changing, but on a recent visit I had a falafel sandwich and shared an order of fried beets with garlic aioli.

When it’s time for a coffee or snack, I love Blk Mrkt. It is inside an old warehouse, so don’t expect to see a lot of signage from the street. They always have a little selection of special seasonal drinks, but the traditional latte is my favorite. They also have baked goods for sale, and the chocolate chip cookie is a close runner up to my favorite cookie from Centre Street Cafe, which I told you about last week.

I also love a latte from Morsels, and you can sit at a table and watch the people hustle down Front Street.

I know that there are tons of great dinner options in TC, and three of my favorite are Georgina’s, amical (the cookbook dinner series is so fun), and Alliance. But remember, I go to TC for work, and at the end of a long day I want to grab something quick and go back to the hotel so I can work out, read a book, or Facetime with my boys. More often than not, I find myself heading to Oryana, which is much more than a little grocery store.

The hot food bar at Oryana is my JAM. On my latest trip, I had dinner there twice. One night I had Indian butter chicken, roasted cauliflower, and roasted beets. The next night I wasn’t super hungry and had a big bowl of white chicken chili and a mini loaf of cornbread. You can get fresh juices, coffees, made-to-order sandwiches and wraps. But my absolute favorite item from Oryana can be found in the bakery case, and those are the fresh cherry scones. They are so buttery and flaky and I still have one wrapped tightly in my freezer (but I’ll go defrost that right now.)
Breakfast honorable mention: Brew (they always have a smoothie bowl concoction that serves me well.)
Lunch honorable mention: Raduno (I’m not a big sandwich eater, but the ham and greens sandwich is to die for.)
I will head back to TC in March and April , and am hoping for no more snow!
